Lack of Pride

On the previous post, I blogged about being on the Dean's List at the U. For those of you who don't know, the Dean's List is kind of like being on the honor roll. I have more than 2 Semesters (at total of 14 - 18 credit hours) where I received a 3.5 grade point average. It took a lot of hard work and constant studying, plus working full time on top of it for me to do this well in school.

It's funny how you can be so proud of your accomplishments and it only takes one person to bring you down and make you feel worthless and that what you have accomplished doesn't mean crap.

It's hard to believe that with everyone that I have talked to is proud of me, like Derek and his family and Uncle Daren, Aunt Terry & Aunt Karen (to name a few), but the one person that I continually try to have be proud of me, never is. You would think that I would be used to it by now and that it doesn't really matter, or shouldn't matter, what this person thinks of me, but it's hard to push those feelings away when you care about that person.

I'm sorry about this really depressing post. I'm sure my future ones will be more positive!

Hey you! I am very proud of you. Who ever tried to get you down must just be jealous of the wonderful person that you are! I wish that I had half the brains and ambition that you do. remember that you are wonderful

You can't control what "She" thinks or does. The only thing that you truly can control is how it effects you. It's easier to blame someone else for her problems than to face them and move on! I love you and everybody else that knows you loves you too. Maybe it's her?

There are some people in the world who aren't happy until they make someone sad. It is an ego thing. A lot of people don't even know they do it. It's weird. I hope that she moves on and sees you for who you really are. A talented, hard working, beautiful, exceptional person! We are so proud of you and everything you do, despite the problems your family has seen! Keep it up and please yourself, that is who matters most here! Love you tons!

I'm sorry that individual was hurtful. Of course myself and obviously so many others are proud of you. Taking that many classes and getting those grades is amazing enough--but working on top of that and pulling off those grades can be near impossible. Way to go! I know that doesn't make up for that one person--but it is the TRUTH. Please don't get discouraged. One day when you're a teacher you might be the only individual who tells those kids they can accomplish their dreams just like you have yours! Keep it up!
